As a 21 year resident of Canada, this sums it up well. I live in the language barrier.

Life time resident, and according to the map, I'm in the beware French area.
One thing I don't understand is why all the hate for Quebec. I guess the rest of the country can't see that our stupid government and the residents of Quebec are not the same.

The holy bill 101 says : Signs and posters must be in the official language and they may also be in another language provided the official language be markedly predominant.
So, I, as a citizen of the People's Democratic Republic of French Canadia demand the sign be redone ASAP. Ou sinon!

I'm from Canada, and this is disturbingly accurate. Except Alberta should say oily wasteland, not rodeo land

Hey, the only times I have been to Alberta is during the Calgary Stampede dates.

Fair enough, I suppose oil-bathed rodeo land would do as well

The ice road truckers phenomenon has really got to stop. I moved from Language Barrier to Ice Road Truckers Land 2 years ago, and while they do have a fairly dangerous job, it's not even a thing around here. Ice Pilots can be in the same boat too. They should call it Japanese Tourist Trap.

They can pry it from our frozen fingers!!! Also, we have a permanent "settlement" up there.... Alert!
